Psychological therapy services across BDCFT are eager to recruit enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Psychologists to support the delivery of high-quality services across the Trust.

The current vacancies benefit from being part of our assistant psychology rotation which aims to support Assistant Psychologists to gain a breadth of experience by working into different service areas across time (rotating yearly or every 2 years depending on the needs of the specific service with which you commence your employment).

In addition to the rotational posts, we also have temporary 6-month contracts for Assistant Psychologists available and if you are unsuccessful in the offer of a permanent post, you may be considered for these.

We have had success in many of our previous Assistant Psychologists gaining places on Clinical Training courses and we are expanding the programme to recruit an additional 4 members of staff. The current available positions will be based within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, offering support and therapeutic intervention to young people and their families as part of our CAMHS Duty Team. The posts will be well supported by experienced clinicians and supervised by a qualified Clinical Psychologist.
