An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced candidate to join the Urology Department at Westmoreland Street Hospital. The role will be working within the Uro-Oncology team, specifically dealing with the booking of appointments for cancer patients. We are looking for a candidate who has experience of working in a complex setting, who will deliver a high quality of administrative support to their Team leader and be responsible for outpatient appointments. The successful candidate will have excellent empathy and organisational skills, placing patient care at the centre of all their work.

The role of the Speciality Booking and Income Adminstrator is to work as part of the Urology team here at University College Hospital at Westmoreland Street to ensure patients referred with suspected urological cancer are diagnosed quickly and efficiently. You will help guide patient referrals from other hospital trusts to our urological cancer diagnostic centre here at Westmoreland Street Hospital. You will be the vital first point of contact for patients. This role will require excellent communication and time management skills. This is an excellent role for a candidate looking to expand on their knowledge of Cancer Targets and waiting list management.
Main duties will include but are not strictly limited to processing IRT referrals, booking SMDT clinics, managing clinic capacity and responding to escalations. Duties will also include covering contacting patients & liaising with tertiary hospitals, phone support for Band 5 Team Leader, ownership and review of cancer targets, MDT and RALP planning meetings.
