At Shoreham Academy we are passionate about providing high quality careers advice, to better the life chances for young people aged 11-19, in securing outstanding destinations. We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Careers Lead to develop our forward looking, ambitious, award winning Careers provision at Shoreham Academy. You will be providing the direction and delivery of a creative careers curriculum across all three Key Stages. You will also support the delivery of our aspirations programme. Youll deliver a range of career information, advice and guidance to support pupils of all ages and abilities. You will be highly inclusive in this respect.. As the Shoreham Academy Careers Lead you will work with, engage, inspire, motivate and encourage young people to achieve their full potential. You will also be coordinating and developing links with and engage the local business community. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to work in a beacon school for careers provision, just 20 minutes along the coast from vibrant Brighton.

All new employees will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check with Barred List information prior to working in school. A new requirement is to carry out online searches on shortlisted candidates and therefore we may ask for a candidates name on social media platforms. Two satisfactory references are required from all successful applicants, one of which must be the current or most recent employer. Prohibition order checks are undertaken for all newly appointed teachers and support staff who will be engaged in teaching work.
All new employees will be required to complete a medical questionnaire.

It is an individuals obligation to meet these requirements by requesting a Certificate of Good Conduct from that country, or those countries, of residence and (for teachers) a Letter of Professional Standing from the professional regulating authority in the country or those countries in which they worked.
All new employees will be required to read and sign the annual Staff Student Relationship letter upon joining the Academy.
All new employees are required to complete three online safeguarding modules prior to starting work.
Evidence of an individuals right to work in the UK will be checked at interview. Verification of any mandatory professional qualifications and professional status; relevant certificates or a letter of confirmation from the awarding institution must be provided at interview.
