Applicants should have at least 5 years’ experience working in a health and social care environment, 2 years of which must be at a senior carers level. The Care Practitioner role is ideal for experienced Health Care Assistants who are looking for the next step in their career. Full training will be given.

Areas of Responsibility:
Basic nursing care such as PEG feeds and wound management.
Supervising and training junior colleagues
Recording vital observations.
Liaising with professional staff in delivering care plans etc.
Taking responsibility for the shift and for the service while on duty.
Responding to emergencies and provides guidance and support to care workers.

This is an enhanced Heath Care Assistant role and you be supported to undertake “CHAPS” training. (Care Home Assistant Practitioners)

Flexibility to cover days, nights and weekends, shift patterns include 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am

Skills and Experience

Level 3 QCF/NVQ in Health and Social Care, or relevant qualification or substantive experience as below.
CHAPS or willing to undertake the training
At least 5 years’ experience working in a health and social care environment 2 years of which must be at a senior carers level.
Understanding of specialist neurological care environment
Evidence of compassion, care and commitment
