Casual – Student Curriculum Consultant
Rate of pay: £11.75 per hour, plus 12.07% accrued holiday per total value
Working Hours: Part time (up to 10 hours per week)
Duration of contract: 13th February 2023 – 12th May 2023
Main duties & responsibilities:
This is a new post to support the embedding of the Herts Learning Principles for curriculum design. You will work with staff and students to enhance programme design by strengthening understanding of student perspectives on the learning experience and study journey.
You will work alongside staff in workshops reviewing provision using the Herts Learning Principles. All programme teams are joining Herts Learning workshops through the regular cycle of periodic review and validation and you will join these sessions in addition to working with student representatives on the programmes.
Partnership and co-creation with students is espoused as an important way of working at UH and the Herts Learning Team feels strongly it should model this approach. Relatively few of the 80+ programmes who have so far engaged with the process have been able to involve their own students.
The work will be funded through the OVC Special Initiatives Budget and managed by calling on the existing expertise with the Learning and Teaching Innovation Centre which already employs Technology Mentors, Race Equity Advocates, student ambassadors and placement students.
Skills/Qualifications Required:
As a Curriculum Consultant you will have previous administrative experience and excellent customer service skills. You will also hold an understanding of the learning experience and study journey.
