Moore Barlow is seeking a Finance Administration Assistant to join our Southampton based team. Our offices are modern, with an on site subsidised restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. The space is great for collaborative working or to take a well-earned break. Day to Day:
This is a newly created position and is a key role in supporting our teams across our finance department. The role offers an opportunity to be involved across multiple finance disciplines, so provides great opportunity to broaden your knowledge/experience.

The successful applicant will be involved in assisting across all finance administration tasks which include:

Monitoring of the Finance inbox, liaising with the Cashiers and other members of the finance team to resolve queries
Assisting with obtaining cheques from our teams ready for banking
Assisting with banking of the cheques in the office
Assisting with obtaining authorisation for various financial payments
Recording incoming funds and communicating receipt to our teams
Processing time write offs on the system
Filing and archiving
Setting up payments on the Firm’s online bank system ready for authorisation

This is an opportunity that provides significant responsibility and is vital to ensuring that our suppliers and teams receive great service.

The ideal candidate:
You will have previous experience working as an administration assistant, ideally within a finance team. You may have gained this experience in the legal sector, however this is not essential and we will consider candidates from a variety of industry backgrounds. You'll have great communication skills, good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (such as Word, Excel and Outlook) and have an eye for detail.
