Homeownership Officer – Central and Southern
Homeworking - covering schemes in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and North Devon.
£31,002 - £32,633 per year
37.5 hours per week
We are looking to recruit a Homeownership Officer to join the Homeownership team. The role will include the management of schemes in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and North Devon so the candidate should be ideally located with easy access to these locations. The role will be homeworking but will also include extensive travel.
You will be responsible for delivering a responsive and customer focused homeownership management service. In this role, you will be part of a strong and experienced team, where training and development are of prime importance to encourage staff progression. You will have the opportunity to develop your team and contribute to the future satisfaction of homeowners and Scheme Managers.
The role of Homeownership Officer will include:
Providing effective property and leasehold management in line with relevant legislation, internal policies and good practice
Delivering a high quality leasehold management service
Managing residents’ expectations regarding repairs and escalating any property maintenance issues affecting residents welfare via appropriate channels
Working with colleagues in other service areas to help the organisation meet its compliance obligations (fire safety, water hygiene, gas safety and data protection)
Delivering general advice on all aspects of tenancy to enable sustainability
Working with a range of external agencies to resolve a range of issues affecting residents’ welfare including; domestic abuse, anti social behaviour and safeguarding
Working closely with administrative colleagues to complete a range of tenancy management processes
Skills and experiences:
Proven experience of undertaking a similar role preferably including leasehold management
Previous experience of managing staff
Previous experience of budget setting and signing off scheme accounts
Prior experience of delivering high quality leasehold services
Experience in complaint handling, will be pivotal in your pursuit to provide a positive experience to a diverse group of customers with enthusiasm and confidence
Excellent skills in analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing solutions
Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers
Excellent customer service and negotiating skills
An understanding of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Working knowledge of relevant regulations and good practice
Travel will be a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving license is essential
