Are you looking for a challenging and dynamic role with the opportunity to make a real difference in the Hampshire Constabulary Police Officer Recruitment Team?
Our Recruitment Adviser vacancy is in our Police Officer Recruitment Team, who are in the final stages of the Police Uplift Programme. If you are successful for this role, you will play a part in the completion of the project, increasing the numbers of Police Officers for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and planning for business as usual.
As an Adviser working on the student officer pipeline, you will be responsible for overseeing creation of advert text for bulk recruitment, reporting on application numbers throughout LIVE campaigns, overseeing eligibility and assessment processes, as well as delivering and facilitating online awareness sessions for candidates. Stakeholder management will form a key part of the role, as well as timelining recruitment activity and supervising a mini team for your pipeline of work. You will advise on escalated queries with regard to internal police officer recruitment, as well as the wider Police Recruitment Team. Police Officer promotions will be shared amongst the Advisory Team. This involves overseeing the process in conjunction with the Force HR Workforce Planning Team and attending the promotion board process as an Assessment Centre Manager.
You will join a well-established team who are keen to help others when required, who are service and quality orientated and place integrity at the centre of everything they do. With responsibility for using data to inform continuous improvement, you will demonstrate confidence, professionalism and innovative problem-solving skills.
In collaboration with the Team Manager, you will manage the expectations of our customers and ensure their experience is first class. You will take the lead in dealing with queries from recruiting managers and candidates, by phone and e-mail; therefore you will need to be an effective communicator and influencer, with the ability to have challenging conversations when required to ensure successful outcomes.
To succeed in the role, you will have previous experience working in a fast-paced transactional environment, ideally within a recruitment team that delivers on high-volume and specialist roles. You will also demonstrate an understanding of employment legislation. With a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service, you’ll have the ability to mentor and support team members, role modelling best practice behaviours. Above all you will share and promote our service values.
