Recruitment Coordinator (Inside IR35)

Contract Term: 5 Months

Contracting Authority: The Cabinet Office

Location: Hybrid with a minimum of 2 days in the office at either Glasgow, York or Manchester

We are currently recruiting for a Recruitment Coordinator on behalf of our client The Cabinet Office.

The Cabinet Office supports the Prime Minister and ensures the effective running of government. The Cabinet Office is also the corporate headquarters for the government, in partnership with HM Treasury, and takes the lead in certain critical policy areas. One of the highest priorities for the Civil Service is improving commercial capability across Government, a priority which is being led by the Government Commercial Function (GCF).

Over the last 4 years the GCO Resourcing Hub has successfully filled over 1000 senior commercial roles across central government departments. Our results speak for themselves, but we also strive to continually improve our recruitment service, both for our hiring managers, and our candidates.

As a Recruitment Coordinator,your main responsibilities would be:

Support the Recruitment Account Managers in direct sourcing activity.
Ensuring candidate attraction is not overly reliant on ‘advert response’.
Promoting direct sourcing initiatives and overseeing effective talent pooling.
Ensuring a continual and fresh focus on attracting and sourcing diverse candidate fields.
Own the candidate experience and actively manage candidates through the recruitment process from start to finish: -

  • Ensuring candidates are updated in a timely manner throughout the process.
  • Providing credible feedback and guidance from application to offer.
  • Ensuring candidate referrals are an outcome of effective candidate management
  • Take the lead on overseeing the timeline and facilitation of non SCS level campaigns
Own the data related to your Account Manager’s recruitment activity, ensuring the Applicant Tracking System is fully utilised, and the vacancy tracker is fully up to date.
Support the wider team with other campaign related activity. This is not limited to, but could include: -Assisting with strategic projects and owning recruitment escalations
Play an active role in the development of the overall recruitment proposition.

You’ll have relevant experience in:
Well-developed communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
A good understanding of how to deliver great Customer Service
Good IT experience, particularly excel
A strong attention to detail and the confidence to take ownership of recruitment processes and be proactive in challenging/escalating areas of concern
Able to adapt and react to changing priorities to meet both the current and future needs of the organisation and think beyond an immediate issue
Google Suite is highly desirable
A similar Recruitment role, however, our client is happy to consider graduates who are looking to gain experience in Recruitment.

Any rates of payment quoted will reflect the gross rate per day for the assignment and will be subject to appropriate taxes and statutory costs. As such the payment to the intermediary and your income resulting from this contract will be different.

Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
