The Senior Student Recruitment Officer will be responsible for the student recruitment and outreach activities within a designated region. They will need to be a highly motivated, dynamic individual with the ability to develop and deliver an effective, successful student recruitment strategy, with a focus on delivering the university’s recruitment targets, and to raise the profile, brand and reputation of the University in that region. This will involve promoting the university’s offer to schools, colleges and students, as well as providing careers education, information and advice, and attending targeted recruitment events in region.

The post-holder will work with key stakeholders including careers advisors, teachers, and senior leaders to promote the University’s offer to schools, colleges and students, and to attend targeted recruitment events in their region.

The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of both the Further Education (post-16) and Higher Education sectors, as well as a knowledge of the UCAS application process. They will be an excellent communicator, and will have proven experience of networking with key stakeholders, and building and managing effective working relationships. Previous experience working with FE students, young people, or working within a student recruitment role would be desirable.

This will be a full time, permanent post. We are able to offer this position as either a home working post to someone living in Greater London, Surrey, East Sussex, or Kent, or as a hybrid working post with two days a week at our East Park Terrace Campus.

A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service clearance at Enhanced level may also be required.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview, and will be required to deliver a 10 minute presentation, details of which will be sent in advance.
