We are seeking to recruit a passionate, knowledgeable and dynamic Specialist Mental Health Practitioner to join the well-established and innovative Youth Offending Service. We welcome applications from Senior Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists , Systemic therapist, Art therapist and Child Psychotherapists.
As a specialist mental health practitioner, your goal is to offer face to face treatment to children, using an assertive outreach approach, whilst providing support, consultation and advice to the wider Youth Justice Service. Working with children and families who have multiple and complex needs you will respond to these flexibly and creatively to get the best outcomes. The post sits alongside other mental health specialists in the Therapeutic and Family Interventions Team within the broader Youth Justice Service.
You will be joining a friendly, supportive and creative multi-disciplinary team, dedicated to providing a high-quality service in liaison/partnership with other key young people's services. You will be an empathetic person understanding that children who commit offences often have complex lives and needs which challenge their access to services.
