Job Description

The Scottish Qualifications Authority is Scotland’s national awarding and accreditation body. We are trusted to oversee thousands of qualifications that are available in schools, colleges and workplaces, not just in this country, but around the world.

We are looking for a Team Leader to join the NQ Assessment Materials team to support the successful delivery of a range of operational activities.

The successful candidate will be required to lead and manage a multi-disciplined team of staff to ensure that a range of diverse operational activities are delivered to agreed timelines.. In order to do this you must be able to demonstrate experience in the following specific duties:

Lead and manage the planning, implementation, monitoring and control of processes and procedures across a range of operational activities.
Lead, coach, train and develop individuals to maximise performance
Contribute to and evaluate new process developments to meet current and evolving business needs

Additionally you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Leading and motivating a team
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Have the ability to work to tight deadlines within a highly pressurised environment
Have good analytical skills with the ability to carry out complex numerical calculations

Applicants, as a minimum, should be educated to SCQF Level 8 and/or be able to demonstrate direct relevant experience for this role.
